Town & Country Days in Kettle Falls is held the first weekend in June. The event includes ALA Logging events, 3 on 3 basketball, a Grumpy Grouch Fun Run, live music, a car show and much more. For info, call 509-738-2882 or check the Web at www.kettlefalls.com/.
Republic's Prospector's Days is a celebration supporting Ferry County's main industry, mining, and features mining events, logging events, a parade, street dance, casino night, soapbox derby, food vendors and more. Colville's ARTBURST Festival is a three-day art festival in June at the city park which features live music, art activities for kids, free arts and crafts workshops, artists' booths, demonstrations, food and more. Call (509) 684-3178 for details.
The Red, White & Bluegrass happens Fourth of July Weekend at the Northeast Washington Fairgrounds in Colville. The event features bluegrass bands from around the region, and includes workshops, jam sessions, food, arts and crafts, and more. The Pend Oreille Valley Lavender Festival is held in early July at 13401 Le Clerc Road North, Cusick. Enjoy food, live music, arts and crafts, garden tours and lot and lots of lovely lavender. Chewelah's Chataqua is an outdoor celebration of the arts with three full days of family fun in mid-July in the 8-acre city park. An American tradition, Chataqua features quality arts, crafts, fabulous food, live entertainment, a children's pavilion, a parade, a square dance festival, a carnival, a fun run and various tournaments. Ione's Down River Days is held the last weekend in July and includes arts and crafts, a parade, a pancake breakfast, a wake board competition, and the world famous Snowmobile Water Cross Competition, plus music and dance, train rides and more. For information, check the Web at www.povn.com/.

Affair on Main Street in Metaline Falls happens on Labor Day weekend with lots of great events, including a street fair, arts and crafts, a big community breakfast, music and dance, performances at The Cutter Theatre and train rides. This is a great weekend event for the entire family. Details are at www.povn.com/.
The Marcus Ciderfest is a favorite regional event on the first weekend in October. The day kicks off with a pancake feed followed by a parade, then arts and crafts, food booths, bingo, and live music. Oh, and you can count on lots of fresh apple cider! The Lions Train Rides along the beautiful Pend Oreille River run summer and fall each year. The 20-mile round trip follows the river through some of the most scenic country in the region. The Fall Colors rides in September and October are especially memorable. And if the train gets robbed along the way, be assured that the money goes to support the arts in the area. For more information, see www.povn.com/npovlions/. The rides are sponsored by the North Pend Oreille Valley Lions Club which uses proceeds from the rides to support their community service projects.
